The project coordinators will present the APU corpus to an audience specialist in corpus linguistics at the ICAME 38 conference, Prague 23-28 May 2017. The focus for this presentation will be on the nitty-gritty details of the corpus compilation procedure and of the online interface. We very much look forward to it!

The APU corpus has been officially presented to the international community at the conference organised by the American Association for Applied Linguistics in April 2016. You can see our poster in the image for this post. We received useful feedback and we enjoyed attending presentations by colleagues in this field of study. Looking forward to the next conference!

We are happy to announce that the compilation process of the APU corpus is now complete! It consists of 522 school scripts (ca. 93,000 words) and 21 basal readers (ca. 79,000 words).
There is still some polishing to do before we are ready to make it available. Bear with us! And keep an eye here for future announcements!
